Councilors, RS Rathi of ward-34, Praveen Lata of Ward-26 and Mahesh Dayma had proposed the takeover of the colonies by the MCG in the house meeting. The proposal was accepted and now the process is due.
According to a MCG official, as of now, the civic body has taken over Suncity, South City 1-2, Palam Vihar, Sushant Lok 1 and Nirvana Country.
The process of taking over of DLF Phases 1-2-3 is still pending as the developer has to address the infrastructure deficiencies in these colonies before handing the charge to the MCG.
