Noida residents insist on a municipal cell
Noida: Residents of Noida associated with Janshakti Seva Samiti, a group of active citizens, wrote to Ritu Maheshwari, chief executive officer of Noida Industrial Development Authority, suggesting setting up a dedicated municipal cell in the city.
In a two-page letter, the residents said that since the authority is over-loaded with several other important works, the maintenance of already developed infrastructures is compromised. Besides, civic services to all in the city is also affected. Therefore, they said a dedicated municipal cell should be set up for maintenance of existing infrastructure and also to plan new ones.
Earlier, all the resident groups and social organisations had proposed a dedicated municipal cell in the city to the Prabhat Kumar committee.
They said that the Noida Industrial Development Authority should follow in the footsteps of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority in this regard.
They hope the municipal cell would be of great help as it would provide them civic services and maintenance of existing ones.
