Supertech Capetown: AOA promptly acts against eve-teasing incident at society

Noida: The residents along with the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) members, belonging to Supertech Capetown, a residential society in Sector 74, Noida, on Tuesday protested against the builder and maintenance team for alleged eve-teasing done against a resident by employees of a broker firm.

During the protest, AOA President Arun Sharma addressed the gathering comprising of mostly women residents and heard their grievances. It was decided by the AOA and the residents that all the illegal commercial activities will soon be stopped at the premises.

They decided the broker firm operating in the CS9 tower will be closed soon and also replace the current security agency. A consensus was formed to take the handover of the society from the builder.

On top of it, all the three employees of broker firm, who were involved in the eve-teasing, were banned from the society on immediate basis.

They also decided to take action against the facility manager who has been accused of adopting laxity in ensuring women security at the premises. “We will ask for replacement of the facility manager,” a resident said.

The AOA decided to call the builder for open-house meeting in the amphitheatre of society on February 16 (Sunday). They will ask for replacement of facility manager and security agency in the meeting and also press for handover of the society from the builder.

All the involved persons were of the view that if builder fails to address the issue then they will approach the police commissioner in Noida.
