Noida: From June you won't find rows of cars parked on both the sides of the road at Film City. The Noida Authority has decided to decongest the Film City and Sector 1 by removing all the unauthorised parking within three months of the multi-level parking lots becoming operational in these two places in March.
Ritu Maheshwari, CEO of the Noida Authority, said since most of the work of multi-level parking lots is completed, they will become operational in a few months. She said that unauthorised parking on roads will be phased out once parking lots become operational.
The authority will run the parking lots with its own staff as it has not received any contractor to operate them.
The underground parking lots at these two places have three floors with commercial space for shops. The parking in Film City can accommodate 1,292 vehicles, while the one at Sector 1 can accommodate 534 vehicles.
