Shramdan for a clean and green ambience

Dwarka: Residents of Brahma Apartments of Sector 7 and clusters of Green Circle together participated in a shramdan to make the area clean and green. 

The programme was organised at a park behind the apartments. Taking part in the programme, people created two enclosures of rose and hibiscus. They also carried out a cleanliness drive in the park before plantation.

Secretary of Green Circle V Selvarajan and a resident of Diamond Square Apartments, Sector 6, said, “The place we chose was small and so we decided to make it beautiful and planned to plant flowering plants.”

Selvarajan termed the response they received from Brahma Apartments as encouraging. “We asked the community to keep saplings in bags for free distribution as we. We told them to do according to your convenience but do it to leave a green footprint.”

On the occasion, people also discussed what to do to realise a clean and green Dwarka. 

President of Brahma Apartments Sector 7 Indramani Mishra said such initiatives would be taken to further the cause of cleanliness and greenery.
