New Delhi: The District Magistrate of South-West district in Delhi on Friday issued an advisory to the Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) with many instructions which are required to check the spread of coronavirus.

As per the advisory, all mass gatherings in the premises of the societies are prohibited. There were instructions to clean the common area floor, railings, surfaces etc. with sodium hypochlorite for disinfection purpose.

Proper sanitation was advised for housekeeping staff. Soaps and sanitisers should be provided to the staff members for periodic hand washing.

The advisory also advocated social distancing while walking and jogging at common areas and parks. It said that the gymnasiums, sports facilities, swimming pools, recreational and club facilities will be closed.

As far as lifts are concerned, the advisory instructed periodic sanitisation. 

The advisory suggested 'containment plan' in case of positive coronavirus patient found in the locality. 

However, the residents were advised home quarantine for 14 days in case of foreign travel. It shared a helpline where residents can inform when they become unwell. The helpline number is 011-25066674.

Proper care of children was advised. Parents were advised to not allow their children to go outside for play.
