New Delhi: The city of Delhi has been severely affected by the coronavirus so far. It is the worst affected city in India with more than 83,000 cases. With 2,889 new cases, the city tally is now very close to the total number of cases reported from China.
The number of cases reported from China stands at 83,512.
“A total of 2,889 Covid-19 cases reported in Delhi today. The total number of cases in national capital is now at 83,077, including 52,607 recovered/discharged/migrated, 27,847 active cases and 2,633 deaths,” the Delhi health department said.
As per the health bulletin, 65 people succumbed to the coronavirus on Sunday. The death toll has now reached 2,633.
As far as country figures are concerned, with 19,906 cases, which is also the highest single day spike so far, the country tally crossed 5.28 lakh on Sunday.
410 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative toll to 16,095 deaths.
