New Delhi: The Pocket 1 DDA flats in Sector 9, Dwarka, is being targeted by thieves these days. On the night of June 28, an incident of burglary happened in four flats. 

Not only this, but also according to the RWA, some suspected persons were seen by residents inside the society on the night of June 30 as well.

President of the RWA of the society, KS Kardam said, “Some dubious persons were seen by the residents and the security guards on the night of June 30. We called the police on the next day. The police visited the society and talked to the residents. We provided all the information that we had. Also, we gave them all the CCTV footage.”

Earlier, on the night of June 28, four flats were targeted and burgled by the thieves. In that incident, flat numbers 23, 35, 173 and 208 were targeted and burgled. Thieves also tried to break the door of flat number 175. “All the flats were targeted in a manner as if they knew about them being vacant,” said Kardam.

RWA president informed that the police visited the society and then the area SHO had a meeting with the RWA and residents. 

“Police is visiting here regularly and yesterday they visited again. SHO Ramnivas from PS Dwarka South in Sector 9 and his team visited the society on July 1 and held a meeting with residents. During the meeting, he assured that he and his team will make all the efforts for security with the cooperation from the residents. He has also assured that patrolling of the police in the society will be done from 12-4 am every day,” said Kardam.
