Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally of Covid-19 reached 10,636 after 94 more people testing positive of the infection on Thursday, according to the district health department.

As many as 92 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 9,749 in the district so far. The recovery rate slightly improved to 91.66 per cent from 91.60 per cent on Wednesday. It was 91.46 per cent on Tuesday, 91.79 per cent on Monday and 91.97 per cent on Sunday, according to the statistics.

Till date, the deadly disease has claimed 131 lives in the district, of whom, 92 patients had co-morbidities, while 39 patients were known disease, the health bulletin said.

According to the health bulletin, there were 756 active cases across the district, of which, 19 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals. 92 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 11 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 634 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana crossed the mark of 50,000 with single-day highest 996 new cases, pushing the state tally of positive cases to 50,926. It was 994 on Wednesday, 896 on Tuesday and 887 on Monday. For the fourth consecutive day, the state recorded the huge surge in the positive cases.

The state’s death toll counted to 578 as 11 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 737 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 42,793 in the state. The state’s recovery rate slightly dipped to 84.03 per cent from 84.23 per cent on Wednesday, 84.39 per cent on Tuesday and 84.53 per cent on Monday, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 7,555. The number of positive patients in critical care counted to 187, among these, 164 patients are on oxygen support, while 23 on ventilators.

The state’s Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.63 per cent while the fatality rate stood at 1.13 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 33 days.
