Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 8,481, as 148 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Friday, according to the official data.

As many as 123 patients have been recovered during the last 24 hours period, taking the district’s overall recoveries to 7,247. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 85.44 per cent from 85.49 per cent on Thursday. It was 85.86 per cent on Wednesday, 86.20 per cent on Tuesday, 86.18 per cent on Monday, and 86.54 per cent on Sunday, as per the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the total number of active cases has gone up to 1,188 from 1,163 on Thursday. There has been a continuous spike in the number of active cases in the district with 1,114 on Wednesday, 1,067 on Tuesday, 1,055 on Monday, 1,009 on Sunday and 1,002 on Saturday, as per the data.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 46 lives in the district. The fatality rate counted to 0.54 per cent among the positive cases, better from 0.55 per cent on the previous day.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh crossed the mark of 2,50,000 after 6,193 fresh cases recorded on Friday, pushing the state’s tally to 2,53,175, while the death toll counted to 3,762 as 72 persons succumbed to deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the total caseload, 1,90,818 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there are 58,595 active cases across the state. The state’s recovery rate counted to 75.37 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.49 per cent.
