With 258 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 13,726 in Gurugram

Gurugram: With 258 more people testing positive of Covid-19, Gurugram’s cumulative tally rose to 13,726 on Tuesday, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll jumped to 140 as one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours period, the health bulletin said.

Also, the number of active cases has gone up to 1760 from 1,682 on Monday. It was 1,686 on Sunday, 1520 on Saturday, 1,372 on Friday, 1,265 on Thursday, 1,145 on Wednesday and 1,048 on Tuesday, as per the data.

Of the total active cases, 22 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 153 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 32 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 1,553 patients are in home isolation.

As many as 159 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours period, taking the district’s overall recoveries to 11,806 with a recovery rate of 86.01 per cent. It was 86.47 per cent on Monday, 86.31 per cent on Sunday, 87.26 per cent on Saturday, 88.18 per cent on Friday, 88.81 per cent on Thursday, and 89.60 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,286 fresh cases, taking the state’s total infection tally to 81,059, while the death toll counted to 854 as 25 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.

The state’s overall recoveries counted to 63,315, while the total number of active cases stood at 16,890.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 78.11 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.11 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.05 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 31 days.
