Gurugram: Gurugram’s total caseload breached the mark of 19,000 with 288 more people testing positive of Covid-19 on Thursday, pushing the district’s infection count to 19,088, according to the district health department.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 15,931 as 187 more patients were treated and discharged during the day, the health bulletin said.

The recovery rate slightly dipped to 83.46 per cent from 83.74 per cent on Wednesday. It was 84.17 per cent on Tuesday. It was 83.61 per cent on Monday, 83.43 per cent on Sunday, 83.12 per cent on Saturday, 82.93 per cent on Friday and 82.82 per cent on Thursday, according to the statistics.

So far, the death toll counted to 167, of whom, 119 patients had co-morbidities, while 48 patients had no known disease, it said.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases further increased to 2,990 from 2,889 on Wednesday. Of the total active cases, 34 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 209 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 15 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,732 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,698 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,18,554, while the death toll rose to 1,255 as 22 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 98,410 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 18,889.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 83.01 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.67 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 28 days.
