Gurugram: Two more Covid-19 positive patients succumbed in Gurugram on Friday, pushing the district’s death toll to 176. Also, 261 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours, taking the Gurugram’s cumulative tally to 21,168, according to the district health department.
The district's overall recoveries jumped to 18,626 after 264 patients were treated and discharged during the day. For the eighth consecutive day, the district recorded more single-day recoveries than daily new cases of coronavirus. The recovery rate now increased to 87.99 per cent in the district.
It was 87.82 per cent on Thursday, 87.53 per cent on Wednesday, 87.35 per cent on Tuesday, 86.71 per cent on Monday, 86.29 per cent on Sunday, 85.60 per cent on Saturday, and 84.45 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.
According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases further dropped to 2,366 from 2,371 on Thursday. It was 2,842 last Friday, as per data.
Of the total active cases, 20 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 183 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 22 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,141 patients are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,476 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,31,388, while the death toll rose to 1,425 as 23 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, 1,16,716 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 13,247.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 88.83 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.68 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.08 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 31 days.
