Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 19,914 on Sunday as 274 more people tested positive of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the district health department.

As many as 372 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 17,184, the health bulletin said.

So far, the district's death toll remained 170 as no new deaths linked to coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours, it said.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases further dropped to 2,560 from 2,658 on Saturday. Of the total active cases, 32 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 200 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 16 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,312 patients are in home isolation.

The recovery rate slightly improved to 86.29 per cent from 85.60 per cent on Saturday. It was 84.45 per cent on Friday, 83.46 per cent on Thursday, 83.74 per cent on Wednesday, 84.17 per cent on Tuesday, 83.61 per cent on Monday, and 83.43 per cent on Sunday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,515 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,23,782, while the death toll rose to 1,307 as 16 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,05,990 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 16,485.

The state recovery rate counted to 85.63 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.71 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 29 days.
