Noida: With 204 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally rose to 12,571 on Sunday, according to the official data.
The day also saw the recoveries of 265 patients, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 10,950, the health bulletin said.
In the last two days, the district recorded more single-day recoveries than the daily new cases of coronavirus. The number of active cases further dropped to 1,570 from 1,637 on Saturday and 1,723 on Friday, the data said.
So far, the deadly disease has claimed 51 lives and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.40 per cent better from 0.41 per cent on the previous day.
The recovery rate further improved to 87.10 per cent from 86.35 per cent on Saturday. It was 84.77 per cent on last Sunday, it said.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,403 new cases, pushing the state’s infection count to 3,87,085, while the death toll rose to 5,594 as 77 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 55,603 active cases, while 3,25,888 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 84.19 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.44 per cent.
