Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 242 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Friday, while the district’s death toll rose to 51 as one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, according to the official data.
The total caseload of coronavirus has now reached 12,253 in the district. Of them, 1,723 are active cases, which is slightly up from 1,699 on Thursday, the health bulletin said.
The day also saw recoveries of 218 patients, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 10,479. The recovery rate was slightly improved to 85.52 per cent from 85.43 per cent on Thursday. It was 82.64 per cent on last Friday, the data showed.
The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.41 per cent, same as on the previous day.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,519 new cases, pushing the state’s infection count to 3,78,533, while the death toll rose to 5,450 as 84 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 59,397 active cases, while 3,13,686 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 82.86 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.43 per cent.
