Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 152 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the district’s cumulative tally to 11,817 on Wednesday, according to the official data.
As many as 162 patients were treated and discharged during the day, increasing the overall recoveries to 10,152. While the number of active cases in the district slightly dipped to 1,615 from 1,623 on Tuesday, the health bulletin said.
So far, the deadly disease has claimed 50 lives in the district and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.42 per cent.
The district’s recovery rate slightly improved to 85.91 per cent from 85.65 per cent on Tuesday. It was 85.75 per cent on Monday, 84.77 per cent on Sunday, 83.16 per cent on Saturday, 82.64 per cent on Friday, 81.18 per cent on Thursday and Wednesday, and 81.14 per cent on Tuesday, the data showed.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,234 new cases, pushing the state’s infection count to 3,69,686, while the death toll rose to 5,299 as 87 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 61,698 active cases, while 3,02,689 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 81.87 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.43 per cent.
