Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 273 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 19,640, according to the district health department.

As many as 455 patients were treated and recovered during the day, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 16,812, the health bulletin said.

It is the second successive day when the district recorded more than 400 recoveries in a day. On Friday, 426 patients recovered from the disease.

Also, the death toll rose to 170 as two more persons succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours. Of whom, 122 patients had co-morbidities, while 48 patients had no known disease, it said.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases further dipped to 2,658 from 2,842 on Friday. Of the total active cases, 33 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 206 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 17 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,402 patients are in home isolation.

The recovery rate slightly improved to 85.60 per cent from 84.45 per cent on Friday. It was 83.46 per cent on Thursday, 83.74 per cent on Wednesday, 84.17 per cent on Tuesday, 83.61 per cent on Monday, 83.43 per cent on Sunday, and 83.12 per cent on Saturday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,689 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,22,267, while the death toll rose to 1,291 as 18 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,03,827 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 17,149.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 84.92 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.72 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 28 days.
