166 fresh coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; recovery rate almost 90 pc
Noida: With 166 more positive cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 13,731, according to the official data.
In a relief, the overall recoveries in the district jumped to 12,342 after the single-day highest recovery of 371 patients during the day.
The recovery rate further improved to 89.88 per cent from 88.25 per cent on Saturday. It was 88.39 per cent on Friday, 88.32 per cent on Thursday, 88.15 per cent on Wednesday, 87.58 per cent on Tuesday and 87.06 per cent on Monday, as per the statistics.
The number of active cases in the district dropped to 1,333 from 1,538 on Saturday. It was 1,504 on Friday, 1,494 on Thursday, 1,492 on Wednesday, 1,542 on Tuesday and 1,599 on Monday, as per the data.
According to the state health bulletin, one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s death toll 56.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,930 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,14,466. The death toll rose to 6,029 as 52 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 46,385 active cases, while 3,62,052 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 87.35 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.45 per cent.
