Noida: In an effort to reach out to residents, the city police said that they would initiate actions to prioritise women's safety. They would also act upon to improve traffic.
They were responding to issues raised by residents during a joint meeting held on Friday at Sector 22. The police said that they want to bridge the gap between them and residents.
The residents complained that due to lack of patrolling in residential pockets, illegal occupancy besides roads has increased. Anti-social elements can be seen roaming freely in parks, they said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ranvijay Singh, and Assistant Police Commissioner Rajneesh Verma immediately ordered action against these activities.
Additional Police Commissioner, Luv Kumar was also present on the occasion. He said that the police's immediate priority would be to clamp down on organised crime, and ensure the safety of women and improve road traffic.
He said that they are committed to ensure an emotional bond with the citizens. Noida Police is standing all the time for the safety of its citizens, he added.
