Gurugram: With 255 fresh cases of Covid-19, Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 25,872 on Tuesday, according to the district health department.

Also, the district’s death toll rose to 193 as two more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

The overall recoveries climbed to 23,309 after 255 patients were treated and discharged during the day with a recovery rate of 90.09 per cent, as per the data.

The number of active cases now counted to 2,370, among them, 2,195 patients are in home isolation, it said. 

In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,005 samples for testing, of which, 2,109 were RT-PCR tests, while 896 were rapid antigen tests.  So far, the district has sent 3,19,636 samples for testing, of them, 2,90,759 were found negative.    

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 940 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,52,174, while the state’s death toll rose to 1,660 as 12 more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

On the brighter side, 1,40,436 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 10,078 from 10,075 on the previous day.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.29 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.34 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 44 days.
