GB Nagar coronavirus cases reach 16,172; over 15,000 recovered
Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 135 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the district’s total infection count to 16,172 on Tuesday, according to the official data.
As many as, 163 patients were treated and discharged during the day, pushing the overall recoveries to 15,002. The recovery rate further improved to 92.76 per cent from 92.52 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.
The number of active cases in the district further dropped to 1,105 from 1,133 on Monday. It was 1,229 on Sunday, 1,384 on Saturday, 1,477 on Friday, 1,523 on Thursday, 1,528 on Wednesday, and 1,557 on Tuesday, as per the data.
Till date, the death toll counted to 65 in the district and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.40 per cent, same as on the previous day, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,351 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,59,154. The death toll rose to 6,714 as 30 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 30,416 active cases, while 4,22,024 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.91 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
