Noida: Sewerage overflow irks residents of sector 108

Noida: Residents of Sector 108 on Thursday lodged a complaint with Noida Industrial Development Authority against sewerage overflow on road in the area.

Ranvir Sharma, a resident of the Sector complained that the sewerage line passing along building number 68, 69, and 70 in Block-C of the sector got choked as proper cleanliness did not take place for a long time. It is now overflowing on the sector road, causing immense inconvenience to residents and passersby alike.

He said, "It seems the authority officials are executing work on paper only. If they would have taken action, the sewerage line should have been cleaned. But it is currently choked and sewerage is overflowing on road."

They said that the problem is acute as the sewerage line is filled with mud and it is not being cleaned. The overflowing sewerage has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and would cause the spread of dengue and other vector-borne diseases in the area.

Sharma said, "As the officials have not initiated a satisfactory action to free the line in the recent past, I would like to put a humble request before them to do the needful to provide them respite from the problems. It should initiate immediate action so that residents get rid of it."
