Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 17,292 on Wednesday as 157 more people tested positive of Covid-19 in the district, according to the official data.
As many as 155 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 16,139. The recovery rate slightly improved to 93.33 per cent from 93.28 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.
The number of active cases in the district rose to 1,086 from 1,083 on Tuesday. It was 1,070 on Monday, 1,082 on Sunday, 1092 on Saturday, 1,089 on Friday, 1,105 on Thursday, and 1,090 on Wednesday, as per the data.
The district’s death toll counted to 67 as no new death linked to coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours. The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.38 per cent, better from 0.39 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,049 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,76,034. The death toll rose to 6,958 as 18 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 25,487 active cases, while 4,43,589 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 93.18 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
