Gurugram: Gurugram on Thursday breached the mark of 29,000 Covid-19 cases as 398 more people testing positive of the infection in the last 24 hours. The district’s cumulative tally now reached 29,102, according to the district health department.
Also, one more person succumbed to the deadly disease during the period, pushing the death toll to 207 in the district, the health bulletin said.
As many as 245 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 25,592. The recovery rate dropped to 87.93 per cent from 88.30 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
The number of active cases further rose to 3,303 from 3,151 on Wednesday. Of the total active cases, 13 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 178 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. Nine are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 3,103 patients are in home isolation.
In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,177 samples for testing, of which, 2,895 were RTPCR tests, while 282 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,48,284 samples for testing, of them, 3,16,005 were found negative.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,594 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,63,817 while the state’s death toll rose to 1,766 as eight more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
On a brighter side, 1,50,660 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 11,391 from 11,014 on the previous day.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.97 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.29 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.08 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 50 days.
