130 new cases of coronavirus in GB Nagar, recovery rate at 93.37 pc

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 130 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 17,422, according to the official data.

Also, the district death toll rose to 68 as one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.38 per cent.  

As many as 129 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 16,268. The recovery rate slightly improved to 93.37 per cent from 93.33 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.

The number of active cases in the district counted to 1,086 same as on the previous day. It was 1,083 on Tuesday, 1,070 on Monday, 1,082 on Sunday, 1092 on Saturday, 1,089 on Friday, and 1,105 on Thursday, as per the data.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 1,979 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,77,895. The death toll rose to 6,983 as 25 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 24,858 active cases, while 4,46,054 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 93.33 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
