The buyers association of Noida Sec 107 rejoice!

The litigation case between Noida Authority and Maharishi Ashram, which had caused the construction of their homes to stop, has finally come to an end.

The buyers association of Noida Sec 107 rejoice!

The buyers association of Sector 107, Noida, heaved a sigh of relief as the land dispute between Noida Authority and Maharishi Ashram came to an end. The dispute had caused the construction of their apartments to come to a halt.

Noida Authority had acquired Maharishi Ashram’s land, citing the urgency clause in the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. The ashram had then approached the High Court against the land acquisition. Consequently, builders had to stop work on ongoing projects on the plot. The issue had been subjudice for quite some time. Finally, Maharshi Ashram filed an affidavit agreeing that it was ready to accept 10 per cent developed land and an additional 64.7 per cent as compensation.

Now that the problem is solved, buyers are urging the Noida Authority to put pressure on the builder to restart construction work as soon as possible.

Puneet Parashar, president of the buyers association, told City Spidey that there were 575 ready-to-move-in flats in Great Value Sharnam, a residential project in Sector 107. "We expect the Authority to pressurise the builder to give us possession as soon as possible," he said.
