To facilitate property taxpayers to pay their tax on time, all zonal offices and the headquarter of the Property Tax Department of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) will remain open on Saturday and Sunday of March except the second Saturday.
The timings of the office will remain as per weekdays i.e. from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with a lunch break of half an hour i.e. 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm. The last date to file the property tax is March 31.
Taxpayers can avail the benefit of 100 per cent interest waiver and penalty on making up-to-date payment of outstanding dues by March 31. Apart from it, residents of unauthorised colonies have to deposit property tax for only for two financial years i.e. 2019-20 and 2020-21. Their pending tax from 2004 to 2019 will be completely waived off.
Accordingly, all property owners/taxpayers are advised to avail the above opportunity and positively deposit the self assessment/lump-sum payment of property tax.
