Seniors Hub Dwarka celebrates Doctors' Day

Dwarka: Seniors Hub Dwarka, a social organisation, celebrated National Doctor’s Day in a very unique way on Thursday. They personally thanked doctors on phone, followed by sending a specially made 'Thank You' card to them for saving the lives of millions of Indians and dozens of members during this pandemic.

As per them, the difficult times have once again reminded about the contributions and sacrifices made by doctors and the healthcare staff around the globe daily.

In honour of this noble profession, Doctor’s Day is celebrated on different dates across the world. In India, it is being celebrated on Thursday.

Senior Hub Dwarka thanked doctors of major hospitals in Dwarka like Aakash Healthcare, Ayushman, Bensups, Manipal, Venkateshwara and Centre For Sight.

RK Jain, President of Seniors Hub said, “Capable hands and incredible courage of doctors gave us the moral support to fight corona.”

Ravi Jaitley, General Secretary of Seniors Hub Dwarka said, “In nutshell, Dwarka hospitals and their doctors were very cooperative and helpful to senior citizens. In fact, under Mission Vaccination, they got 120 members vaccinated at Manipal hospital. Doctors from Dwarka hospitals were giving us health talks online to overcome corona fear. They are next to God. At the cost of their lives, they gave new lease of life to their patients.”

“Doctors with their healing touch take away 50 per cent of our worries,” said Col AK Anand (Retd) whose wife and daughter were hospitalised.

Geetha Vijay, a Dwarka resident said, “They are true heroes of our country during this pandemic.”

This year is once again dedicated to all those doctors and healthcare  professionals who are serving in these trying times by risking their lives either in primary as well as secondary care set ups or in  dedicated COVID care facilities.
