Noida: In the leadership of Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, a team of Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) on Thursday met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow and submitted a memorandum to raise the issues of residents from Greater Noida West in Gautam Budh Nagar district.
The main subject of discussion was the delay in the registry of flats at many societies. They said that the builders have given possession of thousands of flats but the registry is still pending. They alleged that the delay in registry is happening because the builders have not cleared their dues to the authority.
NEFOWA said that several projects do not have sports facilities in Sports City at Greater Noida West. Although the residential flats have been constructed, they are yet to get sports facilities. Occupancy certificate and completion certificate from the authority are also pending. In addition, the registry is also on hold.
Moreover, the NEFOWA informed that many builders have left the projects incomplete and residents are forced to live in incomplete flats. These projects also lack basic facilities. Electricity and water supplies are not up to the mark. Club, gym and swimming pool have also not been constructed yet.
During the meeting, NEFOWA also demanded a government multi-speciality hospital in Greater Noida West. NEFOWA members said that they have been demanding the hospital on many forums in view of the increasing population in Greater Noida West. They said that around 5 to 4 lakh people are currently residing in Greater Noida West and the population is expected to double in next two years.
Abhishek Kumar, NEFOWA president said, “The Chief Minister listened carefully to all the issues and gave assurance to solve all the problems. He said that he is committed to addressing the problems of homebuyers and assured that all problems will also be resolved at the earliest.”
“Apart from these issues, the CM was also apprised about the needs of underpass, flyover, ramlila maidan, sports stadium, degree college, kendriya vidyalaya, etc. in Greater Noida West, which the Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida Authority, Narendra Bhooshan is trying to provide,” he added.
