Dwarka: Community people of Dwarka celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm on Sunday. The day was celebrated by the RWAs and management of societies along with the residents.
On the occasion, people expressed their emotions for the nation and the city. It was first big celebration since the pandemic hit in March 2020.
In many societies, Covid warriors were honoured. Children participated in activities like drawing, dance drama and singing patriotic songs etc. Academic achievers too were given prizes by the RWAs in DDA pockets and management in the Cooperative Group Housing Societies (CGHS).
Many NGOs also celebrated the occasion in the parks to boost the morale of the underprivileged kids who performed well in academics during Covid period.
