Aishwaryam society: Residents perturbed over seepage in basement

Greater Noida: After heavy rain, the residents of Aishwaryam society in Gaur City 2, Greater Noida West have been facing several issues. The heavy rains caused seepage from the pillars in the basement of the society.

Residents shared a tweet on their Twitter handle of the society with a caption, "पार्किंग में भरे हुए जल भराव को निकालने के क्रम में मैंटेनेंस की लापरवाही के कारण एक निवासी मैनहोल में गिरते गिरते बच गए शुक्र है कि एक बड़ा हादसा होते होते रह गया"

Residents shared that the condition of basement 2 is very bad because the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is not working properly. They said that it will affect the structure of the building and can put the lives of the residents in danger. On Saturday, CitySpidey also covered a plaster fall incident that happened after rain and waterlogging in the basement of Aishwaryam society.

Arnimesh Kumar, President of the society said, “First, there was waterlogging everywhere and then seepage started from the pillars of the building. Our life is in danger and we don't know what to do. We spent our lifetime investment buying the flat in this society. There is also no rainwater harvesting system.”

He added, “The builder said he is ready to talk with us but no, he lied every time. We have a written proof where he denied it many times. The situation of the society is becoming pathetic day-by-day.”

Deepak Prasad Gupta, Secretary of AOA said, “It has not happened for the first time. It happens every year and the builder took this seepage incident very leniently. It’s our life that is in danger, not his. Who will be responsible for all this carelessness? The builder says he wants to meet us but does nothing of that sort, only hollow promises.”

CitySpidey contacted the builder SK Gupta to know about his stand. He said, “We came to know that there was seepage. Our maintenance team will repair it soon.”
