The park that adjoins Mayur Vihar II residential area also has an artificial lake. Developed by Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the lake is spread over an area of approximately 17 hectares (42 acres) in the middle of a 69 hectares forest area of the park. Sanjay Lake was developed in the 1970s and opened in 1982.

Among other things, the park is abundant in indigenous trees and the lake attracts migratory birds. Moreover, the well-laid-out fitness tracks are very popular among fitness enthusiasts.
