Indirapuram: GDA promises to fix civic issues of Ahinsa Khand

Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has vowed to look into the civic infrastructure issues of Indirapuram. This comes after few residents of Indirapuram and members of the women wing of Federation of Apartment Owners Association (FedAOA) met with Krishna Kaunesh, Vice Chairman, GDA.

The residents of Ahinsa Khand II have been facing issues like inadequate sewerage system, damaged road and frequent clogging of drainage because of the same. The women wing of FedAOA of Ahinsa Khand II raised these issues and demanded immediate action.

They also demanded the installation of a height barrier to obstruct the traffic of heavy vehicles in the area. Lack of public toilets has also been an issue in Indirapuram, as per the residents. This was also discussed in the meeting and the residents have been promised installation of public toilets immediately.

Alok Kumar, Founder, FedAOA said, “The condition of the roads has become very bad and no work has been done in that regard for a long time now. As soon as the monsoon arrives, waterlogging is caused because of an unmanaged drainage system.”

People of about 22 highrise societies are affected by these issues and demand quick action.

Bharti Garg, a social worker and a member of the FedAOA women wing said, “GDA VC has assured us that he will look into these matters at quickest. We have been demanding installation of height barriers and management of drainage systems for a very long time now as they have affected us badly and are long pending issues.”
