Dwarka: Another incident of a deep road cave-in was reported from Sector 11 in Dwarka. It is located near the Gold Croft Apartments on a service lane road in front of our society. The residents said that a cave-in happened on Wednesday at 4 pm.
Satish Sharma, President of The Gold Croft Apartments, said, “Cable was laid by BSES in trenchless method in front of our society gate. After a cave-in incident, we contacted the authorities. Tyre of a car got stuck as well. We were assured that the road will be repaired by 12 pm on next day.”
The pedestrians are at great risk at the service lane as well because of the deep cave. These spots have become very dangerous as most of them are at the level of roads. With that, there is a very high chance of vehicles and people falling into these spots.
Mandeep Singh, a resident of Gold Croft Apartments, said, “This is unfortunate that such mishaps are happening in our sector. The cave-in incidents are dangerous. Immediate action is needed to avoid this in future.”
The concerned authorities took immediate action to repair the damaged portion.
The teams of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and police officials reached the spot to go for further action. Now, for the safety of the people, the service lane has been barricaded.
