RWA discusses civic issues with area MLA

Dwarka: The Resident Welfare Association team and the residents of DDA SFS Pocket Sector 5 raised civic issues of their society to the MLA of their area Gulab Singh Yadav. The issues were raised in an interactive session with him at the society’s park on saturday evening.

Issues like storm water drains redevelopment inside the pocket, plastering of the pocket's boundary wall with fencing, replacement of  low height electric poles with new poles, provisioning of community centres etc were discussed.

RWA informed that a separate UGR for the pocket was also asked to the MLA. General secretary of RWA Mahesh Gupta said, “Water crisis has been there for a long time . The problem is largely due to dependency on UGR outside the society. We asked the MLA to make develop a separate UGR for us to resolve the water crisis issue permanently.”

In the meeting RWA team and residents also asked the MLA about the security arrangements in the society and demanded CCTV cameras and boom barriers for the society.

After listening to all the issues, MLA assured to do the needful. He mentioned that work for installation of new low height electric poles inside the society is already under progress and said that it would be executed within a month. He also said that a boom barrier would  be installed within a month's time .

As gathered by Gupta, Mr Yadav promised to visit again to discuss the boundary wall issue, parks and water related issues in detail. “MLA assured us to come back on 20 or 21 Oct 2021 along with the concerned officials to discuss the issues in detail. We  are hopeful that this time some work will definitely be executed.”
