Camp for issuing Aadhar and voter ID card organized at DDA flats, Kalkaji

New Delhi: On 31st October 2021, a camp was organised by MLA Saurab Bhardwaj to register for Aadhaar and Voter ID cards at DDA flats, Kalkaji, Samip Rajiv Gandhi Park from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for all the people.

In the camp, anyone can apply, update or register for corrections of their aadhaar and voter ID cards. Aashu Thakur, president of the women's wing said "If people are not able to avail the service this time; they can again visit the camp next Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the same venue."

There were three machines arranged for aadhaar cards and voter ID cards. Services were provided at affordable rates. Applying for voter id was free of cost and 50 rupees charges were charged for any correction in aadhaar card. For updating aadhaar card one had to pay a sum of hundred rupees. Covid protocols were followed during the event and volunteers were cooperative with all the service receivers.

Sunita Puniya, president of Mahila Shakti, Greater Kailash mentioned "Our duty is to fulfil the requirement of all the citizens and guide them right with proper knowledge on how to register for aadhaar/voter id card."

One of the volunteers and treasurer of Vidhan sabha Atul Kotra shared  "We feel that the camp has been arranged at the right time given the size of the crowd."

Ujila, one of the service receivers shared her experience by saying " I'm receiving service for the first time through these types of camps and all the volunteers are really cooperative and working is quite smooth."

Harpreet Kaur, a volunteer in the voter id section said" People can receive their cards at their doorstep once registration and other processes are done." She added, "We are guiding every person who comes to the camp and are receiving a lot of new applications."
