Anime you can watch on Netflix

Over the past year, Netflix has added some incredible titles to its anime library. In addition to the quintessential series, the streaming service took care to introduce a variety of genres. There is plenty of action, comedy and romance series to choose from. If you are ready to explore even the weirdest corners of Netflix to find binge-worthy content (and you should be), we are here for you.

Luckily, we’ve done the hard work of sorting through the platform and finding the hidden gems you’ll want to watch. From beloved classics to next-wave Netflix anime brilliance, we’ve gathered the best anime on  Netflix.

Demon Slayer: Kimetzu no Yaiba

After his family is attacked and killed by demons, Tanjiro finds that only one of his sisters managed to survive. However, she is also  slowly turning into a demon herself. To find a way to cure his sister  of her curse and avenge his family, Tanjiro sets out to become a demon  slayer. Though the premise may seem like much other sci-fi anime  series out there, Demon Slayer is a unique and entertaining experience  to enjoy.

Erased

As a psychological thriller anime, Erased will draw you in and keep  you watching. The plot follows a 29-year-old man named Satoru who has  an uncontrollable power to go back in time whenever something terrible  happens in his immediate vicinity. This ability has helped him stop a  lot of terrible things from happening in his life, but it’s never  taken him more than a few seconds or minutes back in time. But when an  encounter with a serial killer brings up old memories and ends in  death, Satoru finds he must go back 18 years to his fifth-grade body  to try to stop the killer.

Devilman: Crybaby

A man with the heart of a human and the body of a demon must fight  against pure evil, as it is his responsibility to do so. Besides being  creative and very entertaining, this anime also has some smart things  to say about what it means to be human and unwittingly wield such  destructive technology.

The Seven Deadly Sins

Itis an adventure anime, based on the popular manga with 41 volumes. The main character Meliodas, who is the leader of a group of knights named 'Seven Deadly Sins' embarks on adventures to save the Liones Kingdom getting asked by the Liones’ third princess Elizabeth.

Violet Evergarden

Violet Evergarden has been one of the most beautifully animated anime  we’ve seen. Both the series and movies have looked absolutely  incredible, which is a testament to the phenomenal work of the staff  at Kyoto Animation. Expect plenty of tears in this heartfelt finale to  Kana Akatsuki’s beautiful story.

Blue Period

Blue Period will become the first-ever Netflix Original anime to have  episodes released on a weekly basis, airing just a week behind the  Japanese broadcasts. If Blue Period is deemed a success with its  release schedule then hopefully we’ll see more anime titles escape  Netflix jail.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

One of the most famous sci-fi anime worldwide, based on the original  manga with 27 volumes. Alchemist brothers Edward and Alphonse lose  their part of the body or the whole body since they violate a taboo. The previous title 'Fullmetal Alchemist' is totally different from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which ends up with the anime’s original story.
