Ghaziabad: The travel history of the patient has been checked. Along with it, samples of 200 residents of the society where the patient lives have been taken and sent to NIB Noida for the test. Also, the patient's sample has been sent to Lucknow to confirm the new strain. In this matter, the health department is also preparing to seal the building in Vaishali.

RK Gupta, District Surveillance Officer said on the subject, “In the preliminary investigation, the possibility of a new strain is being expressed on the basis of the symptoms. It will be confirmed only when the Genome Sequencing test report comes, but due to the possibilities of new strains, the surveillance action has been intensified. The said patient has taken both doses of Covaxin.  Samples of 200 residents for Corona test, who probably came in contact with the patient have  been taken."

On Saturday, 4,083 people of the district conducted Corona test, out of which, one was found infected; there are three active cases in the city. Since March 2020, a total of 20,21,581 people have been corona tested. Of these, 55,680 found infected, 55,215 were recovered. 461 infected have died.

A total of 22,080 people were vaccinated on Saturday in Ghaziabad, out of which, 6,253 were vaccinated with the first dose and 15,827 were vaccinated with the second dose. 23.90 lac people have been vaccinated till now with a total of 37,35,218 doses 23,90,861 with the first dose and 13,44,957 with the second dose.
