Noida photographer captures perfect 'predator and prey' moment

"During an evening walk in a bird sanctuary, I came across a scene that depicted the circle of life and unusual feeding behavior of an Egret, which was brutal yet intriguing. I saw an Egret chasing something on the ground and picking it up. So, I quickly captured the moment." This is the story behind this picture captured by Mukund Kumar, an IT professional, a passionate photographer, and an avid bird watcher from Noida. Mukund took this shot in Surajpur wetland, Noida, a place he visits regularly. His photograph found a place on National Geographic India's 'Your Lens' section. The gear he uses to capture his images is Nikon D500 camera with Nikkor 200-500 (zoom lens) and Nikkor 105mm prime lens.
