Pragati Vichaar Literature Festival, bringing new authors to the fore

In a country where publishers are averse to taking risks and choose to promote only famous authors, the debutant authors first have to pay to get their book published and then struggle further to promote it. PragatiE Vichaar Literature Festival will be a welcome event for all new and upcoming authors.

PVLF will be a one of its kind 24-hour author marathon, where 48 authors will get 30 minutes each to showcase their talent and talk about their book and their inspiration. There will also be a 'PVLF Excellence Awards', which will purely be data-driven. Powered by Nielsen BookScan Data, these are awards for Publishers, Authors, and Books.

Kapil Gupta, founder of Frontlist Media says, “Bringing in new & debutant authors to showcase their writings and share their thoughts is an excellent mechanism to promote true authorship and literature. The response has been phenomenal. We literally had to say 'No' to some of the top publishers, since all slots got booked very fast. More information can be found at www.frontlist.in/pvlf.”

This edition of the PragatiE Vichaar Literature Festival will be held in the form of a 24-Hour Author’s Marathon on 6th and 7th January, 2022, on the PragatiE.com virtual exhibition platform. The festival is dedicated to enhancing dialogue, free speech, literature, storytelling, and the promotion of the world’s most powerful tool of communication, writing. The literature festival will be inaugurated by Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Honorable Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) & President of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations.

Pranav Gupta, founder of Frontlist Media, Jt. Secretary of FIP & EC Member at International Publishers Association says, “The ability to bring the publishing industry together under the aegis of FIP and with the leadership of Frontlist Media has been a joyous achievement for me. We have already done 2 virtual book fairs with FIP, this event will strengthen the power of virtual for this industry”.

With India celebrating 75 years of Independence, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. Both Frontlist & FIP is well aligned with the initiative of the Govt of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The industry has come forward to support the event. With publishers such as Wonder House Publishing, Repro India, FingerPrint Publishing, Disha Publications, Dreamland Children Books, Prints Publications, LiFi Publications, Solh Wellness, BuyBooksIndia and Advit Toys as sponsors, the event has already made ripples in the industry.
