Restrictions are likely to relax if Covid cases continue to dip in Ghaziabad

After a long time, Covid cases are declining in Ghaziabad. There were  260 active cases in the last 24 hours when 6571 were tested positive. Many officials from the health department speculate that the government might provide relaxation on restrictions imposed in Ghaziabad from next week.

From the past 15 days, the percentage of recovered people is more than the infected ones. If the cases fall below 1000 then the prohibition on gyms, schools, and limited marriage guests might get relaxed.

Health department officials believe that the number of cases will fall below 1000 in the next 7 days. Currently, nearly 2800- 2900 patients are being treated from which only 27 patients are admitted to the hospital.

"The number of recovered patients is more than infected patients", says CMO Dr Bhavtosh Shankdhar. The ratio of the number of patients discharged from college and the number of infected people is estimated to be 150. If this goes on consistently, then in a week, cases will decrease below 1000.
Many business owners are eagerly waiting for the relaxation in restrictions." If cases go down and it is safe outside, we would want to have relaxations in the restrictions. It has been a while we are tired of staying at home", says Shally Parashar from Vasundhara.

Nitin Tyagi, from Ajnara Integrity, Raj Nagar Extension, says "It is a good idea to relax the restrictions now as the Covid cases are coming down. But the COVID appropriate behavior such as wearing masks, use of hand sanitizer and social distancing should be implemented strictly."

However, the upcoming elections may cause crowding in various places around the city which can increase the number of Covid cases.
