The event was organised with the support of the RWA of the society for its residents.

On the occasion, Madhuri Varshney from Rise Foundation explained about the concept of the segregation of waste at the source level and how to make compost out of wet waste. She demonstrated the steps involved in the process for a better understanding of the issue. She highlighted data to show how we can help the environment and the community by managing waste at the source level.

She highlighted that about 60% of waste generated from homes is wet waste that can be managed easily at home or at the society level. This could go a long way in saving the environment. She also explained about other non-biodegradable waste which can be disposed of with the help of the authorities.
