Noida pays tribute to Lata Mangeshkar

Lata Mangeshkar, the Bharat Ratna awardee playback singer has influenced many lives through her songs. Noida societies and team Nefowa paid tribute to the legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar on February 6, 2022.

Popularly known as the 'Nightingale of India', Lata Mangeshkar has contributed to India's history with her music, and in the process, left an impact on all generations. One may remember "Ae Mere Watan Ke logon" - the song that brought Nehru to tears in 1963 or "Lukka Chhupi" from Rang De Basanti which even got the Millenials to well up.

Team Nefowa remembered Lata in an intimate ceremony between members, where they lit candles and paid tributes. Apart from that, they played the songs of Lata Mangeshkar and prayed for their afterlife.

"Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon was my favourite song. Lata Ji may not be here now but her songs will remain between us forever. Team Nefowa pays our respect to her." says Abhishek Kumar, Nefowa president.

Similarly, tribute was paid to Lata Mangeshkar at Spring Meadows society where residents gathered, lit candles and prayed for the legendary singer.
