Many residents are not interested in voting but after the selection of a candidate, they raise that he/she did not do good work, which does not make any sense. In 2017 the voting percentage was not quite good, it was only about 45 per cent. It is our right to vote and choose a candidate who works for us. I request all the citizens of Noida to vote in order to bring a change.” he added.

Some of the organizations that took part in the rallies include Navratan Foundation, Novara, Ayam Welfare Society, Yash Krishna Memorial Trust, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sena, Nari Pragati Social Foundation, Kalpana Kala Kendra, Noida. Ashok Shrivastav, founder of Active NGO group says, “Voting is the soul of democracy. Our purpose is to increase the voting percentage in Noida. The voting percentage is also increasing in villages and slums, in this view, we spread awareness among the citizens to vote in order to choose the right candidate. Most of the time good candidates lose because his/her supporters didn’t vote. Like food and clothes are our need, voting is also important to run a democracy.”
