Delhi Zoo reopens for public

With Covid cases on check in the capital, the Delhi zoo near Pragati Maidan has been opened for the public from March 1, 2022. Spread across 176 acres, the park hosts animals such as the Royal Bengal tiger, leopard, Emu, blackbuck, Asiatic Lion, African Elephant and Manipur Brow-antlered Deers among others. It is also home to a good number of Winter migratory birds.

Tickets for the zoo are only available online at the website https://nzpnewdelhi.gov.in/?ln=en. The ticket prices for Adults is Rs 80, while for children(5-12) and senior citizens(above 60) it is Rs 40. Only 4,000 visitors are allowed in the zoo in a day in two slots - 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Zoo is closed on Fridays, according to its website.
