The women's group started the day by lighting a lamp and offering flowers to Goddes Durga.

SWAG Team celebrates Women’s Day with yoga, cycling and more

The SWAG team of Noida, a cycling group of women, celebrated this Women's Day will zeal and zest. Many women from different societies of Greater Noida West participated enthusiastically and pledged to keep themselves fit, both mentally and physically.

The women's group started the day by lighting the lamp and offering flowers to Goddes Durga.

A cycle rally was organized to promote road safety and environmental protection. It was a thirty-kilometer cycling rally, starting from Char Murti Chowk at 5:00 in the morning and ending at Tilpata.

The cycling rally was followed by a powerful session of Yoga and Tabata workout in the D garden under the guidance of Sunaina Sharma, a certified Yoga and Tabata instructor. The objective behind this was to make women aware of their physical health.

The women were cheerful and enjoying the events specially planned for them. Fun events like needle thread competition, lemon spoon race competition, tug of war among others were also organized.

The Swag Team is also all set to organize such events on Orphans Day, Leprosy Eradication Day, Girl Child Day, Youth Day and various check-up camps so that women stay emotionally, positively happy.

Bhawna Gaur, Chairperson SWAG Team says, "My main mission behind starting SWAG team is to make women happy, healthy, stress-free. I never plan rides on lonely roads or risky places. I want all such events to be safe for women."

Sunaina Parashar, Yoga Teacher, SWAG TEAM says, "The Tabata workout and the Power yoga session was a success. Today's yoga was the first step towards a healthy life for many."

Diksha Agarwal, SWAG Team says, "Women should always find a way to connect with themselves. They should take out at least one hour daily for themselves. Our day today started very beautifully and will end with a night of good sleep, as yoga and a powerset session of Power yoga has made our day awesome and peaceful."
