Several women entrepreneurs are nailing it when it comes to juggling between motherhood and running a business. Dwarka moms are doing wonders with the companies they have made with hard work and passion. These women started their businesses amid a global pandemic, and now, they are running them successfully and fruitfully.

Ranjanaa Sarraf, 40, is an entrepreneur from Dwarka and a resident of True friends Society, sector 6,  who runs her own jewellery business. She is a mother of 2 kids, the younger one is the 8th standard, and the elder one is in the 12th standard.
In mid-2020, she started her company named 'Ranjanaa Jewelss' that deals in 925 silver hallmarked jewellery and silver articles (gifting items, idols for puja room, silver decor). Apart from being an entrepreneur, she is an M.A. in English Literature, fashion design, astrology & numerology. Her best selling pieces of jewellery are silver Rings.

"Being from a jeweller's family, it was always in my mind that I wanted to start a jewellery business of my own. As I started my business during the peak of the pandemic when the market was crashing, finding customers and establishing an online brand while maintaining the price was a challenge. I could not find models to shoot for my brand, so I started modelling on my own. I did all the marketing on my own." Says Ranjanaa

But in the year 2021, there was the time when Ranjanaa had to shut her business for six months, she lost her father in April, and after her father died, her mother was lonely and shattered. A few days later, her mother got seriously ill and went into depression after the death of her husband, all of it was happening amid the 2nd wave of the corona.

Ranjanaa stayed at the hospital with her mother was in the ICU for one month; between all the chaos, she was taking care of her immensely wholeheartedly.

Later, when her mother recovered, she resumed her business, and since then, there has been no going back. Single handled, she runs her business from packaging to marketing, with no extra help.

It's been almost two years since she started this business, and now, she is successful in her venture. Her customer base is spread pan India.

For budding female entrepreneurs, she says, "Follow your passion, give your best to your brand. Don't stop learning, exploring, and adapting, especially in this online market."

Another entrepreneur from Dwarka's sector 5, Managing Apartment, Preety Narang, 42, was born and brought up in the small semi-urban town of Phagwara, Punjab. Preety completed her MCA from GNDU Amritsar, and after her marriage, she moved to Delhi to take care of her family. Before starting her business, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Apeejay Institute of Management. Preety Narang has a son who is 15 years old and a daughter aged 9 years.

In 2020, during the pandemic, she came up with a dry fruits business that she named 'SBN FODS'. Today, her company carries an extensive range of dry fruits, berries, seeds, healthy breakfast cereals & trail mixes. Along with this, they also have a complete range of home ground spices & Pulses.

Preety says, "I always wanted to do business and had done small business earlier as well. But later, when Covid-19 came, my primary concern was to provide my family with pure and healthy food. From there, I got the idea to start this business and Starting a business itself is a task, but with the help of my husband, I was able to do everything. Preety believes that managing a homerun business with kids is not easy; it requires a lot of management and planning accordingly.

"Challenges during my startup were identifying the right product and sourcing the products from the right suppliers in which my husband stands beside me like a backbone so that we can provide our customers Pure & healthy products. That is why our tagline is Purity with Surity," says Preety.

She also has a wide range of pure cold-pressed oils. Her venture majorly specialises in walnut oil, almond oil, coconut oil and mustard oil. Today, SBN FODS  have customers from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and many major cities of India.
