Pinky Devi, 34, hailing from Shillong, was allegedly stabbed by a man at the MG Road Metro station in Gurgaon on October 24 morning.

She had been stabbed multiple times. She was initially taken to a nearby private hospital, from where she was referred to the Gurgaon Civil Hospital. She succumbed to her injuries there.
According to the police, the victim was attacked from behind by Jitender Kumar, a 26-year-old autorickshaw driver, as she was entering the station around 9.30 am. The attacker was a resident of Rajender Nagar, Delhi.
People present at the scene thrashed him and handed him over to the Central Industrial Security Force personnel. They then turned him over to Gurgaon Police.

The victim's husband, Maan Singh, told the police that Pinky worked at a beauty parlour in Rohini, and Kumar had been harassing and stalking his wife for quite some time.
The accused was apparently waiting near a store at the Metro station when he pulled out a knife and attacked the victim in front of other commuters.
Kumar, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, was also admitted at the civil hospital.
