Noida: Prateek Laurel, Sector 120, Noida is being organised a two-day basketball tournament for the community at its premises. The society is hosting this inter-society basketball tournament in association with 'Dribbling Drills Basketball School' this Saturday and Sunday(April 16 and April 17, 2022).
Prabhat Mani Vats, President of the Society informs that the tournament is focused on promoting sports in the community and strengthening bonds through the game. Nearly 14 teams from different societies are participating in different categories.

“Post pandemic, tournaments such as these would create a bond between the community people and also promote the culture of sports," says Vats.

The event was inaugurated today morning with much fanfare and excitement. The Under-12 team of Prateek Laurel secured 3rd position and won the bronze medal. The team captain Akshat was declared the highest scorer of the tournament with 16 baskets, which is nearly double compared of the second-highest scorer!
Semi-finals and finals will be played tomorrow evening. “We have invited NOFAA president and secretary to attend the prize distribution ceremony. AOA members from the adjoining societies are also likely to join the prize distribution ceremony,” said Vats.
